Initial configuration of Fritzbox 4040 for port 2
1. In order to establish a connection to your Fritzbox, you simply need to connect via LAN or WLAN; an internet connection is not necessary.
2. If it is possible to do so, please use a PC for the initial configuration. Open your browser, e.g. Google Chrome, and visit http://fritz.box
3. The following input mask with the language settings opens. Select English as the language and confirm with OK.

4. The country setting screen opens. Select Switzerland as the country, then click Next.

5. The router accepts the settings. Wait for the router to restart automatically. Use your browser to visit http://fritz.box again.

6. Remove the tick next to Diagnostics and Maintenance and confirm with OK.

7. In the next step, select Internet access via DSL or fibre optic modem and then select Other Internet provider.

8. Scroll down and select 'Is account information required? No is selected.
9. Then change the numbers in both the Downstream and Upstream fields to 1000.

10. Then click Change connection settings.

11. Tick the box next to Use VLAN for Internet access and then enter 10 under VLAN ID.

12. Click Apply to save the settings. Your Fritzbox is now ready to use.
