Initial configuration of Fritzbox 7583
1. Connect to the Fritzbox via LAN or WLAN. You do not need to be connected to the Internet.
2. If possible, use a PC for the initial configuration. Open your browser, e.g. Google Chrome, and visit http://fritz.box
3. Select English as the language and click OK.
4. A login screen will appear asking you to log in. Enter the password (on the bottom of the Fritzbox) and click Login.
5. Please select Switzerland from the list of countries and confirm by clicking on Next.
6. Please select Annex B and confirm with Next.
7. The Fritzbox will reboot. Then log in again.
8. Uncheck Diagnostics and Maintenance and confirm with OK.
9. Click Next.
10. Click Please select... and select Swisscom. Confirm with Next.
11. Click Next again.
12. If the check was successful, you can click Conclude Step. Then click Configure new Telephone number if you have a phone line. Otherwise, click Skip step and go to step 21.
13. Under Telephony provider, select Other provider and enter your phone number in both fields. Then scroll to the bottom.
14. Scroll down to the Account information section:
Username: Your telephone number e.g. 0442300000
Authentication name: Your telephone number e.g. 0442300000
Password: can be found in the customer account for the landline product in the details
Registrar: box.internetgroup.ch
Proxy server: box.internetgroup.ch
15. Log in to your account at www.gigamobile.ch
Click on Services in your customer account to find your telephone access details.
16. Click on the three points next to the product (eg Giga Internet S DSL) and then click Show More.
17. You can retrieve your password as follows:
a) Login: Enter the user name and password in the Telephony section of your Fritzbox under Access information.
b) Under Additional Information you will find the user (e.g. 044 123 45 67) and password for your telephone access data. Enter these in your Fritzbox in the Telephony section under Access information.
18. Then click More Settings (red in the image). Tick the two boxes (red in the image). Confirm with Next.
19. Press Next to confirm.
20. The status should be green as shown. Click Conclude step.
21. Click Conclude Step in the bottom right-hand corner.
22. Click Conclude Step again at the bottom.
23. Scroll down and select Yes, run update. Then click Conclude step.
24. Your Fritzbox is now fully configured and ready for you to use it.
